Bad weather in winter: Always good to enjoy snowfalls in winter in our ski areas.
Ski & Snowboard lessons: We do not cancel any ski or snowboard lessons in the case of snowfalls or bad weather - unless the avalanche risk is 5/5 and all lifts are closed.
We will always find an area within Chamonix or close to Chamonix for your ski lessons.
Off-Piste: The Mountain Ski Guides / Ski-Snowboard Instructor will always try to find some good spots where it is possible to ride, for example in some other ski resorts where we can have very good off-piste in the forest like Courmayeur in Italie or Saint-Gervais/Megève (20mn from Chamonix)
Vallée Blanche: Your safety is our priority, so if the Guide decides that the weather is not good enough for Vallée Blanche, he will be happy to suggest an alternative off-piste day, for example an off-piste experience on the glaciers on the back side of the famous Grands-Montets ski resort, an off-piste day in the Italian ski resort of Courmayeur or next to Chamonix in Saint-Gervais/Megève - all of these ski resorts are included in MBU ski pass.
Heliski: In the event of poor weather conditions for the Heli flights, alternative itineraries are chosen by the Guide in nearby areas for Off Piste Skiing, Ski Touring etc… If the Guide judge that the conditions in the mountains are too challenging and there is a safety risk, it will be possible to postpone your day. In the event it is not possible we will refund your deposit or payment
For all our winter activities in the event of extreme bad weather or extreme avalanche risk (level 5) whereby all ski areas in Chamonix and nearby resorts (France& Italie) are closed we will postpone/reschedule your activity or provide a refund.
Please note: the Mountain Guide or Ski-Snowboard Instructor can decide and apply changes in the program during the day, according to the weather and snow conditions, skiers physical conditions and skills.
INDEPENDANCE AND SECURITY:
Taking part in ski lessons implies a certain autonomy on the part of the client and does not make you solely dependent on the instructor or instructor-guide.
Each student must take care of their personal safety and that of others.
OFF PISTE , VALLÉE BLANCHE , HELISKI
It is impossible to guarantee always perfect champagne powder snow conditions. Each client must ensure their attention and personal safety under the advice of the Mountain Guide.
The practice of off-piste skiing constitutes the acceptance of possible natural hazards. The supervision by an instructor or instructor-guide does not eliminate the inherent risk of skiing off-piste in the mountains. We highly recommend our clients have appropriate travel insurance that covers Heliski and Off-Piste Ski / Snowboard activities.
Please note that not any refund can be made in the event of an insufficient technical level (Vallée Blanche - Off Piste Skiing - Heli-ski & Heli-snowboard ) or if we have to cancel due to your failure to comply with the safety instructions, given by your Ski-Snowboard Instructor or your Mountain Guide
Your Ski-Snowboard Instructor or Mountain Guide will meet you at the lobby of your Hotel or at your accommodation or at the lift station agreed with your Instructor or Guide (eg Aiguille du Midi for Vallée Blanche) to explain to you the daily program and changes if necessary.
Please note:
As with all climbs in the high-mountain environment, the ascent of Mont Blanc or any other high summit is dependent on weather conditions.
The high-mountain environment is directly impacted by global warming. The rise in temperatures leads to a reduction in snow cover, which causes more frequent rock fall.
The normal route on Mont Blanc, and the climb to the Goûter hut in particular, is no exception.
The mountains impose their own rules and, owing to bad weather or an unsatisfactory level of danger, the climb may not be possible.
If this is the case, we will suggest an alternative objective depending on the conditions, such as the Gran Paradiso 4061m or Monte Rosa 4634m
The ascents described above is a guide only and may change depending on the people abilities, opening times for the cable cars, weather conditions and conditions in the mountains. Refunds will not be made for changes to this programme.
Please note: not any refund can be made in the event of an insufficient technical level ( Canyoning - Via Ferrata - Mountaineering - Mont-Blanc ascent ) or if we have to cancel due to your failure to comply with the safety instructions, given by your Mountain Guide or Paragliding Instructor.
Please note our cancellation policy:
If you cancel 30 to 15 days before the activity, we will charge 25% of the total amount.
If you cancel 14 to 8 days before the activity, we charge 50% of the total amount.
If you cancel less than 8 days before the day of your activity, we charge 100% of the total amount.
